Website rules and information

Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of fretworkguitar.co.uk, the website of Fretwork Guitar Tuition. By browsing the site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to them. They cover website use, the status of the enquiry form, and the limits of the information published here. They do not govern lesson arrangements, which are agreed separately between you and the studio.

Section 1 of 9

Use of the website

The site is provided for information about guitar tuition offered by the studio. You may browse it and submit an enquiry for lawful purposes only. The pages describe lesson formats, how the teaching approach works, and the resources students can use between sessions, so you can decide whether to get in touch.

You must not attempt to disrupt the site, submit automated or bulk enquiries, enter false contact details, or use the enquiry form to send unsolicited commercial messages. Access may be restricted or withdrawn if the site is misused. Ordinary browsing, printing a page for your own reference, and sharing the address with someone else who is looking for lessons are all fine.

Section 2 of 9

Enquiries are not bookings

Submitting the enquiry form does not create a contract for lessons and does not reserve a time slot. It is a request for information: you tell the studio what you want to learn, which instrument you play, and roughly when you are free, and someone reads it and replies.

A teaching arrangement comes into existence only when you and the studio have agreed a format, schedule, and cost directly. Any such arrangement is governed by the terms agreed at that point rather than by this page. Until that conversation happens, nothing has been reserved and neither side owes the other anything.

Practical point: send the form when you mean it. If your plans change before the studio replies, say so in the reply thread and the enquiry simply closes. There is no cancellation to process because nothing was booked.

What the form does

  • Starts a conversation about the format that suits you.
  • Reaches the studio directly — replies come back to you, not a queue.
  • Carries no obligation and reserves no time.
  • Can be sent from the contact page in a minute or two.

Section 3 of 9

No prices on this website

Four rules that come up most often, stated the plain way, so nothing here is ambiguous.

Cost is agreed, not published

Cost depends on the lesson format, session length, and frequency, and is confirmed directly once those details are agreed. Because those three variables move together, a single figure on a page would mislead more often than it would help.

Figures elsewhere are not quotations

Any figure that appears on a third-party site or in an advertisement should not be treated as a quotation from the studio. Only a figure confirmed to you directly, in writing, in reply to your enquiry counts as one.

Formats are described, not priced

The lessons page explains what each format involves and who it tends to suit. Read it for shape and commitment, then ask about cost in your enquiry so the reply can be specific to your situation.

Replies come from the studio

Once you send the form, the studio contacts you directly to discuss format, scheduling, and cost together. Nothing is charged at the point of enquiry and no card details are ever asked for on this site.

Section 4 of 9

Accuracy of information

Content on this site describes lesson formats, teaching approach, and learning resources in general terms. It is provided in good faith and may be updated or changed without notice — a sentence written for a beginner class may be reworded when the class changes, and pages are revised rather than frozen.

Nothing on the site constitutes a promise of a particular outcome, grade, or rate of progress. Results depend on the practice and commitment of the individual student, on the time available each week, and on the material already learned. A description of how lessons are taught is not a forecast of what any one student will achieve.

If something on a page looks out of date or unclear, mention it in your enquiry. Corrections are welcome and genuine — a broken sentence or a stale reference is worth fixing for the next reader.

Section 7 of 9

Limitation of liability

The website is provided on an as-is basis. While reasonable care is taken to keep it accurate and available, no warranty is given that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Websites go down for maintenance and links rot; that is normal and not a promise that has been broken.

To the extent permitted by law, the studio is not liable for loss arising from reliance on information published on this site or from any inability to access it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Section 8 of 9

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and it is dated when it changes so you can tell whether you have read the current wording.

Continued use of the website after changes are posted indicates acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with them, you should stop using the site. Terms are not altered retrospectively, so a change does not rewrite anything that was already agreed between you and the studio.

Contact about these terms

Questions about these terms can be sent using the enquiry form on the contact page, stating that your message concerns the Terms of Service. That note is enough — the studio reads the form directly and will come back to you with an answer, usually within one working day.

Related documents are the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, both linked below. If your question is really about lessons rather than the website, say so in the form and it will be answered as a tuition enquiry instead.
